IVE tried CR Turbos & Turbo Technics and happy with none of them,

The best results ive had from Area six, Ian Howell and Turbo Rebuilds - my advice invest in a new one - or get your one fully inspected - AET are meant to be good also....

Thanks for the reply, turbo technics was at the top of my list so I'll avoid them. Basically I've had an engine bay fire and the turbo doesn't look great so wanted to get it inspected and refreshed before going back on a fresh engine.

Area six and Ian Howell are to names I recognise so I'll give them a call and go from there.

Cheers,Rick

To be fair - i do attract bad luck lol (what i mean is i break my own stuff lol) - u cant go wrong with Ian Howell - the last turbo i got off him has been mint - 420 on sabres rollers - frs mk1 standard turbo hybrid so a gt25 / 28 variant - told him what i wanted got it 100% spot on AND i got way more power than i expected but old Sabre likes to turn boost up!

May I ask what car?

Thanks for the replies, I've spoke to Lee at AET which is fairly local to me so going to give them a go.

Thanks I was really gutted, started the project coming up to 4 years ago, got the car back and only did around 30 miles in it and it set on fire, thought we had sorted it and on testing it happened again luckily outside a petrol station. Had to use a fire extinguisher and the powder has reacted with everything in the engine bay, it looks a right mess.

So on closer inspection it looks like the turbo is fecked so new turbo time.

Anyone had any experience with the Garrett G30-900?

JM imports are currently fitting 2 g30-900 turbos to a gtr, so half the figures that makes will give an idea on a 1.9 litre motor, once it's done IL get a pic of dyno plot
