Picture doesnt really give an idea of depth, but no not really. If the engine was running poorly it was more likely the bent valve that caused it in the first place!
None of the pistons look very good to me and the one that has already been hit by a valve has got to be a potential weak spot in time. Engine rebuild would be what I would be looking at.
great, many thanks for answer! Its a ford focus, 04. It will be really fun to see if it actually will run again, i have ordered 4 valves that needed change.

If it's just a standard car used as a cheap run around car id just run it, it could well go on for several thousand miles trouble free
great, thanks I just got the valves, will fix it when i get some more time..
Yes, its a junk car, i bought it for nothing. If this fails it will be towed straight to the graveyard...
ah, might be true but i reckon it will cost me more than what i paid for the whole car, gonna use it for spare parts if it is not running okej, I need the trunk door for another car that is smashed in..
i will smack it toghether and see how it runs, the new valves are 95mm and the old are 110 mm so it will be fun to see how it runs..

I'm all for saving money and not wasting anything but honestly you need to get the correct length valves, they cost no money at all tbh !!!!
something is not right, all valves i can get hold of for FORD Focus Mk1 Kombi (DNW) 1.6 16V is 99mm. And the dealers say this is what should fit exactly my car. And the valves on the car are 110 mm...
it is original. I bought it as the owner thought it was a blown head gasket, it was overheating. Drove it home and had great problems to loosen the cam shaft belt bolt. A neighbour helped me to loosen the bolt as he has some strong tools. retightened it and thought it was just do drive back home, didn know about ford having come up with something called floating cam belt bolts. being such a bolt, the timing belt went wrong and smashed the valves, hence the current situation.
Theese new bolts is told to be a perfect match to the engine https://www.bildelaronline24.se/et-engineteam/8288392 https://www.bildelaronline24.se/freccia/2482156
but they arent, they are 2mm too short compared.
The valves is original, but something is not adding up. I am gonna have too look for another solution, i believe it will be possible...
