Hi all, I joined a while ago, but just returned to Ford ownership, well engine at least...
I’m building a BOA V6, and looking to make improvements where I can, not looking for massive power, more make the engine as efficient as is reasonably possible, I have the later cams, and am looking at the plenum chamber.
I’ve read various conflicting views, some say its OK, some its rubbish, I like the look of the Boost performance plenum, but have read threads advising against dealing with Boost....
Question is, is the stock plenum worth replacing? If so any advice as to what with.
cheers.
Pete.

Back when the BOA was developed Ford/Cosworth put a lot of work in the plenum to get good resonance in the plenum to improve torque. Though it is said that the plenum is restrictive for high flow. The Boost Performance plenum probably gives less good torque but might be less restrictive.

Top boss performance had a custom inlet made by a Derby firm called swift engineering , they made the plenum and it had jenvey inlet plates and air horns built into the plenum box.
Loads of people also say avoid top boss as well so design something yourself.
all this was on a twin turbo setup and I think his blue sierra made 520 bhp but it shit itself on the dyno run.
my 2.0 litre zetec made more than that lol.
cheers paul

[QUOTE=Marc sierra;6802179]I’ve rear these rumours about the Omega inlet before, but I have never seen any pictures.
