Default Screw type

Anyone know the name of this kind of screw design? With the non-threaded start. Done the vaguest of google searches to try and suss it but getting bored of trying to work it out now

They're called SEMS SCREWS (or bolts) with DOG POINT.

Your example is probably Pan head Phillips (or Torx) Sems bolt with Dog point

These are in the U.S but are an example

Thank you! Don't seem to be easily attainable in the UK - even ebay is failing me (its phillips head i'm after). Might have to call some of the proper fixings places

These manufacture in the U.K, try an email to see if they supply to U.K bolt suppliers or whether they only supply manufacturers for their own use.
