Default 2wd Cossie 6 degree rear beams

As per title were/are they as good as they were made out to be for a fast road cossie? I seem to remember the suspension of choice was the bajoo set lowering it by 25mm.

anyone still on here that had one fitted did you notice any difference?

The beam cures a lot of understeer and makes the car less snappy.

Rod did 0-100 mph in 6.86 seconds which as far as I'm aware grip wise alterations on the rear was coilovers, 6 degree beam, Jag diff and r888s, it must help get the power down

You do get more tread on the ground as the curve is a lot less under compression and because of that it reduces under steer to so yes it helps massively with grip

That is actually not the reason that the beam helps reducing understeer. On the standard beam not only the camber change is big, but also the toe change over the suspension travel. And it is the toe change that causes the understeer. The toe change is also a lot less on the 6 degree beam, that’s why it helps reducing understeer.

You contradict yourself the agree with me lol . I've seen pics of yout car in corner so I'll stick to what I know as you could write what you know about suspension settings ect in a match box and still have room to write a 4 course meal on if

Now now boys. I've fitted camber shims to my rear beam/hubs and the wheels defo sit better in the arches. Poly brushing the standard beam and a poly diff mount also made a massive difference on my saff.

Thanks for the insult mate. So from a single picture of my car you can tell what I know about suspension settings, you must be psychic then.

So please explain to me how different camber curves on the rear can reduce understeer.

I’ve owned my 2wd for over 20 years and had the rear beam about 8 years ago. For me it made a really noticeable difference - much better on bumpy B-roads, made it feel a lot more precise and seemed to turn-in a lot more crisply. Mine is on 15s and AB springs prior to and after the beam
If you can get one fitted, geo’d up etc I’d definitely recommend it
