Default Brake fluid

Evening all, I have been having issues with my brake servo pump on my cosworth. When sitting in traffic for periods of time the pump cannot reach the pressure switch cutoff pressure 180bar I believe. I have read about this happening when there is no heatshield to protect reservoir but I have the original in place so you would have thought this should do the job.
The voltage at the pump is good and the fluid (Dot 4)in clean about 8months old. The pump has no problem when cooler so I was wondering if there is a better brake fluid I could use to remedy this problem?

Any help is much appreciated.

Tim.

Have you verified the switch's operation?

Then it must be that that pressure is not being reached, is there a possibility of air in the system?

Thanks , yes I think there is air in system. I have bleed the system twice now, and on the second time I bleed the system the front left had more air in it and it took about 5 or six depresses of the pedal for pedal to firm-up.
I will try and bleed again in a couple of days and see if any more air in evident.
Can you still buy a master-cylinder rebuild kit? Although there are no leaks anywhere so could just need to keep bleeding?

Thanks for your help.

If air has entered the valve block you are in trouble, as this is notoriously difficult to remove. Try another bleed and see how it goes.
