Cheers people, am I right in thinking that's its a mk5/6 , from that last pic but one, is there or was any variation in parts between 5 and 6, or just 1 dohc engine for both models?
Is there a Haynes manual for this?
Would like to get running again?

water pump or thermostat maybe re pipes or fan switch , ford workshop manual was only one I found for the rs2k engine and there was slight differences between the head on a early mk5 rs2k and the later one and looking at the pic thats the later one from a 96 rs2k

thank you. A9, would this also explain why there's no oomph in the blower inside the van, and lukewarm air, are all the sensors the same, for the early and late versions,
Thermostat, fan switch, coolant temp sensor, and fuel gauge sender?
Also the thin breather pipe from the thermostat housing going back to header tank gets hot ,before stat has opened wondered if this was normal?
Is the engine a rs2k mk6?

is there an online list somewhere of part numbers, been trying to join rs200016v-com to get info, but still waiting for activation

Thanks for all your help

I think the old rs200016v club are mainly on facebook thesedays like most, its safe to say its not the early engine but still could be a galaxy engine as top end looks same as the later mk6 rs2k, been some years since I owned one so dont recal the exact specs etc,

Cheers A9, Managed to find this, might help some on the site PDFs under technical,http://www.rs2000-16v.co.uk/newsitefiles/indexnew1.htm
So could be a galaxy, the plot thickens,

Checked motor just now, thermostat opens so that works, but radiator already hot as bottom pipe hot a long time before stat opens, temp gauge works not sure on coolant temp sensor and fan switch...
