Hi sorry for the long gap between posts! Happy new year to all, hope you are all in good spirit!
firstly I noticed my mk2 st is sitting half inch lower front passenger side. Wasn’t really a problem until I installed the wrc mud flaps, now it really stands out and will rub on the floor when going around a roundabout! Or turning right etc. I had been advised my Koni sports must be knackered so I order new set on Koni sports and HnR springs to suit and replace existing. Been out there all day in the cold guys and finally got it done! Lowered the car back to the floor to see it hasn’t done nothing to the height the car still sits uneven. I have measure the rod ends and height and distance between everything and it’s spot on both sides marry up! All the tyres are the same and , the same pressure air inside.
absolutly baffled and pissed as I just done a bit of spondoolah in new springs n shocks when the original now appeared to be fine.
any sujjestions guys or anyone have this problem?
car is Hpi clear and shows no signs of ever being in a wack
Putting new dampers and springs on won't be money wasted, they might still have been on their way out. Are the top mounts ok? Have you checked that the chassis rails are the same height.

the top mounts are fine mate yeh! What are the chassis rails mate?
Roll bar might be a good place to start too. If it's bent/broken/weak it'll let it sit lower too
i didnt think about the roll bar to be fair mate, the roll bar is the one attached to the drop links from the bottom yeah, so if that is knackered it could cause it to be out! The car was sitting jacked up on the passenger side for 2 weeks a couple months ago while I was rebuilding the drive shaft! Could that have caused it to get bent! I’m sure it’s Whiteline antiroll bar
Drop the roll bar off and check. If you jack the front up and drop both wheels off. Then disconnect the drop links you might see a difference from side to side. If it’s been left jacked up on one side for a while the uneven weight could have bent the ARB quite easily or damaged the bushes.

I’ll check that tomorrow morning mate! I didn’t think of that at all to be fair. So when I remove the drop links n remove the weels the ARB will probably be lifted on one side.
Fiesta? Heard of this a few times on the ST180, usually that the driver's side is about a finger's width lower though.
Nobody ever seemed to be able to explain it or decide whether it caused any handling problems, although if yours has suddenly developed after jacking it up it might be something else.

Quick update guys it’s been raining and haven’t been getting back from work till late! I’ll be getting under it hopefully this week!
if I disconnect the drop links from the bottom then lower it back down on the wheels! Will that show me if there is a problem with the arb?
Am I right in thinking the car will sit normal if the arb is damaged and is disconnected?
Ok guys I have jacked her up, disconnected the drop links and lowered her down! No change, still uneven, I also measure from the top of the inside strut to bottom of spring and it was identical.....
im out of ideas, I have a few pics I taken, see if u can spot anything I can’t guys, bear in mind I’m a double glazer not a mechanic!
Maybe it's had a new wing at some point in its life?maybe a pattern part. My saph had a new wing years ago and took ages of looking thinking suspension was out untill I realised
WhTs a sling mate? The wing bolts looks like they never been removed mate! All panels line up correctly! I have spent almost a £1k trying to self diagnose this problem lol with all new parts etc
All the springs are brand new direct from HnR, they are all bedded correct as they only fit one way into the shock, there is a stop end for the spring to sit in dude!
Are you sure the struts are all the way home in the hubs, it could be that one has not dropped right in to place which would give a higher spring platform than other side.
if the bottom part where the strut drops in to (the nice shiny yellow part) is open at bottom can you feel up and see if both sides are as deep in as each other.
also check the rear as that could be pushing a corner down.
my wife had a 911 that was never 100% level, it turned out to have upgraded suspension on 3 corners and a standard spring on one corner...don’t know if it left the dealer new like that as it wasn’t old.
Looking back in the pics I think one of the yellow struts could easily be deeper in the hole than the other side, (we can only see the one side) look at the heights of the metal bit where the brake line passes through.
