Default Mk2 Cmax air con low pressure port?

Hi guys

The wife has a 2011 Grand Cmax 2.0tdci (newer shape). I went to have the A/C regassed at work today by a bloke who does mostly agricultural stuff, lorries and a few cars here and there.

We tried to locate the low pressure port, Autodata says it sits below the brake reservoir, Youtube / google says it sits behind the engine just before the hose enters the bulkhead, but no luck. We even took the the wipers and scuttle out to get access down the back of the engine to see, but it is so tight back there, had to do it by feel! Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

Rich

I had similar trouble trying to find one on a Diesel Kuga, it was at the front of the engine near the compressor in the end. Ford ETIS showed it on the back of the engine as above, as did the parts system.

I took all the wipers and scuttle off too

Thanks for that, I have looked down the front for it too, my focus has the same engine so have looked in there too, still no luck!

If I remember correctly it was on the pipe that comes out of the compressor and it needed more than one set of eyes to find it.

Could be like the Mk 3 Mondeo. That one is behind a little flap in the offside front wheel arch liner, near the front. I guess it's close to the compressor itself.

On the Kuga it was on the inside of the engine bay of the compressor, the port was above the inside edge of the compressor.

Thanks for that I will have another look this weekend, although the radio/nav and parking sensors all stopped working today so might need to attend to that first. Bloody Fords

The reason I like Fords is you know full well that at some point in the near future it will leave you in a steaming mess at the side of the road, usually hundreds of miles from home. Unlike anything German that as you have paid a premium, you kind of hope it won't, yet still will. Oh and you can usually fix anything on a ford with a 13mm spanner and about 37p of back pocket change

I don't know mind. The price of car parts has gone through the roof imo.

I think I would still rather push my Ford and own a VW lol.

I used to work on VW years ago. This also why I don't own one.

Managed to find it with your help, tucked right away below a rad hose, wiring loom and other god knows what. Many thanks for that
