I used to do Crail but not been down the strip since the car had a c18det, managed low 13's back then . The golf r and s3 boys get it all their own way at Crail, track's great for them. I've now fitted Nissan sr20det, mapped by Alan at AVA, made 300 rwhp .

Try doing third gear burnout, and as soon as it starts to white smoke off tyres keep it pinned just out the bleach box, third gear will have them smoking quicker also ,plus looking at the video you deffo need it corner weighted with you in it,will make a big difference especially in the 60ft and also when changing gear, unless you pulling on steering wheel when shifting lol

Thanks for the comments. the 60ft times are 1.7 and that's the reason I wanted to put the video up to see if there was any ideas where I could improve. I got the back axle gears changed at Hauser Racing and he also said to do third gear burnout, i'll do this next time, I got the car corner weighted last year but I've no idea how to use this information. Do you think the back of the car is too soft , had the coilovers down to last two clicks..
thanks Jim .

Depends on your spring rate ,pounds? Also tyre pressures but as soon as you see thick white smoke then keep it pinned and pull forward should only take 5 to 10 secs max in 3rd gear ,and if you can get in the 1.5 range 60ft you will knock 3 to 4 tenths off your pb

Does this mean anything to you - The rear spring rate is 160lbs , front springs 225 lbs .The total weight with a driver is 1048.5, left front 322.0 right front 252.5, left rear 240.5, right rear 233.5. Front weight 574.5 -54.79%, rear 474 - 45.21%, left 562.5 - 53.65%, right 486 - 46.35%, lf/rr 555.5 - 52.98%, rf/lr 493 - 47.02%, r bite 7 . The slicks were 18 psi , front tyres 35psi
