Hi Richie just like to ask you, how long have you used this make of battery? The only reason I ask is. That a number of members have said to use Calcium battery ONLY, Yet I have checked this battery and it dose not state that it is a Calcium battery, but dose say that it gives out 30% more power when needed. The only thing I concerned about is the life of the battery, if it is not a Calcium battery? thanks (pain in the ---) haha Paul.

Thanks 1-PD.The only reason why I asked was that a lot of members have been helping me out with inform, and a lot have said Calcium battery only. So I just wanted to make sure that my next battery buy was the right one. If you have ran your's for the last 3 years and RichieST along with others have said a Bosch are good battery's. Then that is the one I will go for, and hopefully that will end this nightmare of problem I have, thanks to you and the other member for your help Paul.

According to Europarts website you need the
S4-004 (their price Ł79.05)or
S5-004 (their price Ł105.85)
Prices are after their discount code save33 are applied.
I'll get the price of the s4-004 battery from my work when open.you'll still get a 4 year guarantee with it.

you mention putting an end to a nightmare your having, are you having battery issues? is it a battery problem or is it something else and its draining the battery? if so replacing the battery will only cover up the issue for a short while until it drains the new battery.

Hi Fuzzy I have been have all sort of problems replaced Alternator Battery (used battery). Having to jump start to breaking down ect ect. Had to auto electric how only pointed out that the alternator fault. I have check Battery over two days battery was down to 6 volts then 7 volts. The next night I disconnect the battery over night to see if the battery lost it's charge over night, night battery was 12.8 and in the morning it was 12.7. So the battery is holding it;s charge so I must have a drain somewhere. So it looks like back to the auto electric to try to trace the drain. I know that the battery is OK for now but with winter coming and Geordiegooner getting a new battery at a good price. Just need to find out where the problem is, As I have unplugged the plug from the alternator and it's not that as I am still having the same problem, Not to worry. Hopefully the Auto electric will point me in the right direction Paul.

Use an amp clamp/multimeter meter and u will see what amp drain is drawing and if it’s over 0.5a then u have a bad drain. U can then pull fuses one at a time and when the drain on the meter drops u know what circuit is causing the problem.

its a time consuming/costly problem to pay an auto spark to fault find. narrowing it down as much as possible pulling the fuses one at a time as gcfcos suggests will help. did you have any work done to it by anyone about the time the problems started? they might have knocked something or not reconnected something properly? you could also charge up your old battery and keep it in the boot for emergency use?

Hi Fuzzy no wok done on the car before it started acting up. I just thought it was the case of the battery just needed renewing. So I done that, but not know I just got standard battery still had problem. RAC said it was alternator so got new one,. then still had the problem, so booked car in to auto Electric. Said I needed another alternator as the one I had was to high output 14 volts and the battery was also need as the alternator had damage the battery. So I got another alternator and second hand Calcium battery. Only to fined out that 14 volt is the normal, and a calcium battery is a must. I feel like a dog chasing its tail. But I will do as you and gcfcos have said, and see what happens. Bet after you read all this , your now thinking "wish I ha-dent asked" haha. well as all the other member that read this page. thanks to ALL for their help Paul.
