DONT USE PTFE TAPE

No way should you ever have to use PTFE thread tape on any brake connections What type of connections are they? Brake fittings seal on either copper crush washers or seats on the end of the pipe/fitting

I work for Goodridge by the way

willwoods have a tappered thread (1/8 NPT) into the caliper. your original brakes would have been M10x1 metric. make sure you have the correct fitting's/adapters

Also make sure you have the correct male/female connections matching on the nozzles of the pipe. i've seen them mismatch before causing leaks

I've had my wilwoods leak b4 when new however that was a from the crossover form one set of pistons to the other. was just a case of nipping up the 4 main bolts holding both sides together

Is there a tapered seat at the bottom of the thread in the caliper (the seat should be same angle as on the fitting that srews into the caliper)

I'm not familiar with wilwoods but if its the way i think it is that copper washer on the caliper is doing fook all

looking at the pic the fitting setup is wrong , from the wilwood should be a double male , 1/8thnpt into the caliper then whatever thread you choose onto the other side of the double male - usually m10x1.0 iirc , then the brake line should fit straight onto this with no other joints washers nuts nor fook all , the outer end of the double male should be up against the olive in the brakeline and thats it - i make and have made all my lines for years - and they dont leak - ever

Sorry I know Morto so its not a double post

That was the line rally design sent after it was quoted one was needed for a 1997 escort si with the wilwood midilite 4pot kit, the connector on the braided hose was not tapered but this one was

Does this mean that the adapter that was in the box should have been used ? the taper end into the caliper and the braided hose should have been a female connector that goes onto the adapter
