Hmmmm seems top money for it mate as it needs work but depends what your bmw is worth and what it owes you. What the miles on the 3dr?

It don't look amazing mate and like you said the mot history seems to suggest its had corrosion quite often and that's what the mot station have seen so who knows.
You would have to buy it on the pretence your probably going to spend a few quid and a fair bit of time In which case you'd be better off buying the moonstone one on eBay for 25k at the dealer or lee on here's old one for 30k.
The problem with these now is even the lemons are expected to make 20k and me personally cannot justify it anymore unfortunately as I love the cars but there's so much out there.

Yes mate it does. If only we knew back then. If you want a 3dr your best bet is Gary at Portsmouth rs breakers as I got my last one from him about a year ago. It was a 45000mile moonstone one that had 2owners. Nice car but it was in kit form when I got it but sold it more or less straight away as I got an offer I couldn't refuse. Should have kept it really but there you go.
Think your right about your bmw as all classics seem to be going mad at the minute.
Tell Mr happy (underwood) I said hello.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
The problem with rust is the deeper you investigate the more you could find, bodywork done properly is very expensive these days. Most people would probably opt for a car with really rust free bodywork with some mechanical issues which can be less costly.

yeah doesn't look too fantastic that, if its worth what he says it is then why's it still for sale/swaps and why hasn't it been proper cleaned/polished up with a full set of one style wheels on it (not the first pictures, the later looking pictures)
unless you have money to chuck at it i'd be wary as it sounds like its a bit rusty

Hi I wouldn't hand over 20k for it , hard to say without seeing it in the flesh but the engine bay alone is tatty this is without searching for the rust on it .
The 20k 3 door that will owe you 35k plus .
I don't think they will rise in price any time soon . You see many of the same ones up for sale that just aint shifting for the silly price tags . There Nice Porsche 911 turbo money an I know what id prefer in the garage
Not a hater just realistic

Problem is mate as you know you'd struggle to buy one for 17 if you could find one. Would you buy one cheaper???
