Please can someone help me, what engine mount do I use to fit a black top in a mk3 escort? I've got 3 mounts here and neither of them fit! I started with what appears to be a fiesta turbo mount but it seems too high?! It just seems to clash with the mount on the chassis. Note - I want to use the standard mounting point

Modified cvh parts would be my guess, thats what is used on a mk4.

 

This is the mk3 mount I now have which puts the mount at the right height but now it hits on the water pump.



Has anyone else had this problem with a black top install?

 

Being that it is just steel surely you just need to cut n shut it where you want it?

If you get stuck cut it up with a grinder and make all the joint points nice n clean and shiny and tape it how you want it and then get anyone to weld it up if you can't. ...if you get stuck then buzz down the A3 and I will weld it up for you.
