Dont know if anyone remembers but a month or so ago i put a post up i had sold my and took a deposit for it etc, also bent over backwards for the buyer sorting things etc. Turned out he didnt buy it and wanted his 1k deposit back etc etc . Well didnt give him it back and never heard anything from it.

Car went back up for sale again, got a buyer within 1 week or so , as they were interested to begin with. Guess wot, the exact same thing has happend, this time i wanted 1500 deposit, and the exact same thing has happend , buyer backed out because they couldnt afford it and want their 1.5k back. well they can go jump for it cause they aint getting it back at all. They gave me cash as a deposit so no chance.

So pissed off about this now, i have no space for the car , no use for it and spent about 15k on the thing over the last 18 months. There is nothing wrong with the car at all , everything is brand new on it.

Just HATE selling cars its such a hassle all the time.

I wouldnt call people keep giving you a grand or more for it and then not having it much of a hassle mate.

Do that once a week and you could quit work

Surely he must have a very good reason to back out? He must of been certain to buy it if he put a £1500 deposit down!

Did you make him sign a receipt for it specifying the deposit was non-refundable?

at least you've made £2500k for the aggro! You could even drop the price of the car for a quick sale and still make your money back

Yes but if you do this with a company they have to specify that it is non-refundable and you sign for it!

No i didnt put anything in writing so they cant do jack shit. A deposit is a deposit , there was only 2 of us there when cash exchanged , so i class it as mine now

The car is a saxo VTS which i have had for 2 years , just a toy really for our business , nevre really been driven and i now need space for me other cars.

They backed out because he said he couldnt afford it anymore.

Timewasters wouldnt normally give you such big deposits!!

I'd say you are bloody lucky as you have now got £2.5k for nothing!!

Stop moaning!! I actually feel slightly sorry for the two people who have lost there deposits as I certainly couldnt afford to lose that amount of money!!

BUK im trying to sell my S2rst just now and get nothing but hassle from it all i.e cu*** on the phone , but no one has viewed car yet and ppl say they will come down , so wash car etc but no one turns up arrrghh 1 more week of it and then im keeping it , its stressful as feck selling your car ,ive lost all intrest now trying to sell , dont take anybody seriously now, im just like whatever m8 to whoever phones must be a ayrshire thing lol
