Default vehicle tax grouping question[trafic van]

i just bought a 2012 trafic van-its euro 5 eco model 115bhp[badged eco 2,and they all are eco on that age anyway iirc-plus it shows euro 5 in the hpi small print/spec bit]
taxed it as required and they stiffed me £230 for the year-euro 5 is £140
i assume it has been registered wrongly at birth-i dont have the v5 back in my name yet to check its v5 wording
question is has anybody had a car tax band amended once they find an issue like this? how much documentation would i need to provide-any ideas
checked green slip=its registered as light goods vehicle, can i do anything about this...?

Tax on a 2012 Euro5 van is £230.

Euro5 vans registered 2009-10 get cheap tax. No idea why.

There's a similar anomaly/scam around 06/07 with Euro4 vs Light Commercial vans.

ie 06/07 Euro4 van is cheaper, go to late 07 or 08 for same van, and it's just a light commercial with the £230 or whatever it is.

Doesnt give a fuck if it's identical to a car engine etc, you'll still get screwed
