A HKS carbon-fiber Mitsubishi is the current reigning champ at the Tsukuba Circuit (2004), with an extraordinary lap time of 54.739

The car was driven by famed D1 driver and HKS' official driver, Nobuteru Taniguchi ??; the HKS crew took a short break and then embarked on its second session. NOB pushed the Evo to a track record of 54.739, beating its previous records and proving to the world once again why no one's better than HKS

Eiji "Tarzan" Yamada??

http://www.tuningpt.com/store/tsukuba.htm might be of some use for (old) track times.

None which answers your question, that's one tough search task Steve

Cheers bill (and the PM link ) but nope, they won it last time in the HKS Evo, but later write it off quite badly trying to beat that time so didnt compete the last time.

The winner was either the M-Speed R34 or the Garage Saurus R32, im convinced it was the R32 (esp as a jap mag i got says so), but some info said it was the 34 that won, so need to be sure...
