YUM360, Please dont turn this into a tuner wars post Dave.

I was only asking for a price as I do not know and I am sure many others would like to know too.

I know what Marks says it costs but would be nice to here it from someone who has
made the purchase.

Taking into account the features of the SM4 and the fact that my wiring loom was shagged and needed replacing anyhow, i think that the cost represents very good value for money. As for the amount, Phone Mark and get a quote. it was'nt as expensive as i thought it was going to be. Its also alot more work than i thought it was going to be

Niall.b, madevelopments, PMSL

I know this product is top notch that is not in dispute.

Why all the secrecy ?

You posted about it on a public forum and quite rightly people are interested.

Doesnt take long to repeat the info surely ?

Or is it because its ME who is asking

AFPMSL - what's the matter Simon?

YOu have to resort to personal insults to divert attention from you making yourself look like a complete fool all over again?

I feel sorry for Mike - there's more chance of you turning water into wine than keeping promises

@ Simon.

Unfortunately for you Mark aint unhinged!!!!

I made Ł30 from your ECU...but then i am a businessman and a sucker opps sorry punter wanted it bad as you got Bob Hope of getting a new one

The ECU worked well on my t38 conversion no denying....but the fact it couldnt cope with a stage 1 mythed me ...plug and play my arse...

Bare in mind you sooooo wanted me to try it......so did,and the result was a fire damaged repaired ECU...(after the first couldnt run 8 injectors)...the result was ok if you only want it for one conversion...i didnt so went autronic....plus i needed back up service so went autronic...plus i wanted to speak to a human being for support so went autronic...plus i wanted the person on the phone not to be a mental patient so went autronic...plus i wanted to know the person selling the ECU could map it so went autronic...etc etc etc....

Poor old Mike

cisco routers have fukk all to do with any website being defaced, they in laymans terms just route internet traffic, id be moaning at your lame isp`s admins for leaving your site open to defacement.

RANJ, I have NOT named anyone for that particular incident.

The irony is, I have a Cisco router/gateway/firewall that my web site server sits behind !!!

Coincidence it is though, Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Oh well, seeing as we are off topic now i can confirm that the new owner of Phils SECS S8 Ecu is perfectly happy with it

Phil makes out like it couldnt run a stage 1, but it all needed was the correct map sensor and TPS, or to be sent back for a quick software update (offered free of charge by SECS) and thats only cause its such an early ECU, the later ones come with that software anyway.

If having to swap between a 2 and 3 bar map sensor and swap aroudn a 2wd and 4wd TPS seems like a massive amount of work that warrants the hundreds of posts phil makes about it then im not looking forward to the deluge of posts bitching about the Autronic one cause it requires FAR more changes than that, like a complete loom for one.

Phil really has completely missed the point and blown the tiniest little issue totally out of all proportion.

on a serious not that price for the sm4 is actually a good deal imo !!!

ok ya gotta sort the loom but not that hard and its another alternative aswell

been proved around the world too

tbh the way its been borught about with the oficial secrets act i always thought that it would have been 1500quid plus vat and loom ect

gotta say im i pressed

maybe more or the madette crew should mention the price if thats what it is as tbh i think by not saying it makes ya feel like if ya gotta ask ya cant afford it ( hence why i never said anything )

1200+Vat is still over 1400 quid, so not too far away from 1500

Personally i think its a bit steep, but the knowledge that Mark has of the ECU means that the mapping isnt going to cost you very much if you go to him just cause he only needs to look at it briefly to get fatnastic resutls, my mate took a calibra with autronic to him and within about half an hour, considering the amount of time and money that i know other people have spent on the same setup to get worse results it speaks volumes.

And thats on an engine that mark is NOT familiar with, on a cossie you are really laughing if you have autronic and go to mark.

The actual ECU itself is looking pretty good on spec too, but ive not ever had a play with one, makes a refreshing change to see them putting a decent number of feautres on it though, SM2 and SMC were both pretty limited each in their own way TBH

yeah but chip i was talking about 1500quid plus vat and then the loom ect

so 1200 plus vat aint as bad as i first thought, remember ya do get the full back up with it and tbh he does have really good customer service and theres alot of very happy peeps out there with it.

must admit when ya see the madettes going on about autronic and never mention a price ive always thought it was a cult thing, when ya go to mark he brain washes people and then all they know how to talk is autronic and how good it is

but at that price its worth it as he does know his shit and he can prob falut find and also fix things very very quick, with that taken into account i may have too turn i to a madette if i decide to up the power on me cossie enough

aslong as ya all promise if i turn into cult following then hit me

If you change to ANY new ECU then surely you should put a new loom in Half the reason YB's blow is because of it!

As said the S8 ECU was fine on my t38 conversion but on a 600plus engine i need to be 100% about back up on the most important part and have full confidence...i didnt with S8...BUT please dont let anything i say put you off....its my opinion.
