Huge congrats to Clarke, a member on here, for doing a 10.4 at 140 at the weekend, making it the fastest FWD Ford and first in the 10s!

He was only testing out his straight-'box and wasn't even looking to set new times!

Cool video of it doing a 10.4, against a Lambo no less.

And yes, the Lambo took a while to leave, but ran a high 11 on this pass. He did run a 10.9 later we heard...

Have always wanted someone to build a quick FWD Ford since the Civics all came out in America and the R5's started to get quick over here too.

It's doing 0-100mph in less than 6 seconds, so not too bad!

Fastest FWD cars in UK/Europe are all Japs.

Yes, the car is in the very early stages. Plans are for a handbrake for burnouts, proper boost control, flat-shifting, then suspension changes and more power. It's 'only' at 560bhp at them minute!

Saw this on facebook last night, a huge well done to them! Mega impressive performance, always knew with a bit of work the blue ovals could be just as competitive as other stuff in the FWD drags.

Yeh me too. I used to love my mates royal nail van. That van upset alot of modern performance cars.

I think fastest in UK is either Richard Batty's Mitsi FTO or one of the Honda Civics. Somewhere in the high 8's !

But even 10's is still an awesome achievement in a fwd car !
