Wildest daily driver
Ok, so most on here have a treasured Ford (or three), probably an old one, possibly worth more than a new Mondeo.
So who drives a car that, by rights, should be wrapped in cotton-wool and only out for shows and the like, on a daily basis? Any pseudo track cars, twin-turbos, fully detailed, hand-built etc. to the works car park?
Back in my youth I would take my show Pop, 3.0 Essex and chromed Jag rear, through central London to my office in the East End once or twice a week just for the fun of it. Likewise my wife would take Candy Scarlet Consul Capri to Holborn (we're talking early 80's).
Always a worry that some fool would slam into us in the morning rush but seemed good to use them rather than only out on dry and sunny Sundays.
So what's your story?

When I had my Porsche 912 about 10 years ago, I used to drive it to work everyday in the summer rain or shine. Before that car I had a mk2 cortina 1600GT that was my daily.

Yup that blower on the v8 looks sweet
Ran a smiley face transit with a stage 1 yb in for work around ten years ago,had 17" alloys quad headlamps and a few other mods when I got it,put it back to standard (rusty old wheels with dohnuts on etc) didn't bother sorting any rusty panels so was a bit of a sleeper
Said years ago i would swap my sportvan I have now for it, proper fun..

Back in the 80s we had 2 daily drivers, a mk 2 Lotus Cortina with the big valve engine and a Mk 2 1600e Uren Savage. Both superb cars, wish I still had them now the way prices have risen!!!

Mark V8. Another very nice car , it gives a mk2 Cortina a whole new look with the roof chop and the unusual looking wheels. Another Rover V8 engine ? Do you still have this car? It must have gone well with the V8, my Cortina Savage was fast with just a V6 Essex engine!

This was prob my wildest daily.
2.5 v6,around 170bhp,did the shopping in it,track days,back road blasts,gave it death everywhere.
Held its own against imprezas,600cc bikes on the road and it did a 13.4 sec 1/4 mile.
Sold it to a guy who used it daily for a few years till it rotted away,it's still around but in bits, rotten and no engine.

It was an original Uren Savage and someone decided to roof chop it and stick a 5 litre mustang engine in it ! along with 8 inch axle and 4 speed manual box.

Yeah....you must have rattled a few teeth at the time.
Some great stories here BUT no-one seems to have any current day stories, everything seems to be back in the past. Surely we have a nutter on here with some crazy daily wheels?

I used my saph cos for the first year of ownership as it was our only car untill we got given a pug 306 for free when the missus grandad passed away so then the Cossie became a second car. Then we had a kid so had to get a sensible Nissan note as a daily :-(
