....is lemforder a decent o/e spec part for general suspension components?
I don't want to buy shite parts that barely last a year.....

yeah i have seen a few lemforder bits like that where when they are compared to the originals you can see where they have ground off the manufacturers logo so its obvious its lemforder that are producing the originals for them

I used lemforder for all my steering components on my Focus front and rear axle. Quality is much higher than the budget stuff.

I also got mine from europarts, it's all been on around a year and a half and all still looks good and no complaints

You'll hear LOTS of horror stories about euro stuff being cheap crap and not worth the time to fit,
They do sell some cheap crap, the budget stuff is exactly that, its low budget low quality
But they do decent brands as well, and the lemforder stuff is decent quality in my experience,
As said above its oe for a few brands

im not in the motor trade but ive still heard many stories about the cheaper parts sold by places like ECP lasting 6 months then needing replaced. fair enough theyre relaced under warranty but you still need to do the job twice.
sounds like lemforders the parts to go for then.
thanks.

Default euro

bought a "zircolli" or similar stat for my e61 from them
it didnt fit-bought the next priced up one and it did
the cheaper one would have required moving the fixed plastic too far

what a fuss getting it changed too

that said bought lots other bits and pieces with no real issues

As above, nothing wrong with euros if you don't buy their cheapest stuff!

What does make me laugh is some of the new parts that I get from them. Take the latest Vivaro for instance, pagid or other brands don't do pads for them in euros yet.. But I bought some front pads the other day from euros for a brand new Vivaro and they were genuine Renault pads (same as traffic) in the Renault box complete with a euros part number on a plain white sticker.. £30 odd. Rang Vauxhall today to get some more as euros didn't have stock and I needed them for tomorrow.. £89+vat!! lol

I buy the new transit fuel filters from euros and the new transit spin on oil filters and they're in their Ford boxes too! But less than half the price of going to ford (even with discount at ford)

Lemforder make the suspension parts for Audi so the quality speaks for itself. Had a suspension arm from QH and it died after 2 weeks. Swapped of for another and 2 weeks later dead again. Was told the car was at fault, demanded a refund and on advice got Lemforder arm which is still on the car and fine after 30,000 miles.

I work in the parts trade (Not ECP) and ECP do a part for "your budget" so if you want cheap shite you'll get cheap shite but on the other hand spend a bit more and you'll get a quality part.

I haven't had a really good experience with Euro Car Parts, Instead I use a site which my mechanic recommended and have been pleased with the quality so far, plus the prices usually beat ECP!

Check it our if you need: http://d2pautoparts.com/

Hope it helps

I used to work in the warranty dept for a major car parts supplier in Scotland. I can't say never but can never remember doing paperwork for a lemforder return and it's not just oe stuff they do either. Do lowering springs etc aswell. Ordered a couple of sets for the exs cars and never had any complaints.

Oh and 2 years that was my job if that helps
