I sold and posted an item recorded delivery but the bloke gave the wrong address so it was returned to me but was lost coming back to me. On royalmail.co.uk it just says "being returned to sender" and has for about 3 weeks!

Is it my responsibility to chase it up? or the buyers? i have given him the tracking number but hes basically a dumbass

i would put a claim in with royal mail ASAP mate, its his fault cos he gave the wrong address but i would claim off royal mail, but stanard insurance only covers you for £28 on recorded

 

I was under the impression the standard insurance covers you upto £100, are yous ure mate?

 

His fault for not giving you the correct address. If the previous item is RTS I don't know if there's any way he could have fiddled that but it might be worth seeing if you can send a replacement, at his cost, and waiting for the other one to be returned to you (but only if it's not possible he's fiddled the system!).

Recorded Delivery isn't worth the Ink it's printed on,it's crap IMO, doesn't get there any quicker then normal post and sometimes ppl rip the stickers off

Better off the extra £1 or £2 for Special Delivery

 

Speaking as an Ex postie....... thats EXACTLY whats happens as well......


Recorded delivery goes with ever other letter..... Special delivery is tracked every step of the way and sent via secure post,.

When ever I send anything it ALWAYS goes Special as Recorded isn't worth the extra 63p

 

Its up to you the sender to file a claim.

But as said Recorded isnt worth the effort.

 

royal mail are shit i sent an item to a guy off here recorded delivery and it never arrived and now there fookin me about with refunds if he gave the wrong address its his fault in my opinion

 

but unfortunatly ebay/paypal will side with him.they always do. tossers.

 

i was gunna send some postal orders once and was told the insurance was only £28, then the stpid cow told me after i havepaid and the sticker was one etc that postal orders anit covered with recorded, had topay again for special delivery
