Default Bought & lost thread!!!

As the title what have you bought for your car & lost when you need it.

I bought a new AP paddle clutch kit a few yrs back knowing I was going to do a underside resto & up the power on my saph cos, took me 16 months from start to finish, stripping, painting, powder coating zinking, new this new that etc etc....
Sent fly wheel off to have skimmed thinking as soon as it's back new clutch & gearbox in time only prob is I can't find the clutch kit anywhere???
(Me & my lad b4 I started the strip down decided to empty the garage b4 I started, & I think he threw it in the wheelie bin mistaking it for old boxes of tiles) as I'd put it in a simalar box to the tiles I looked everywhere......
A phone call to Matt Lewis for a new AP paddle & helix kit later, its togeather
Only reason I thought I'd share was I was talking to someone today about it & it made me laugh! Moral of story don't let 6 yr olds help you clean yr garage

Ive shot out loads of gear over the years then someone asks if you have any parts. Its always the parts ive shot out.

Remember putting my Cossie radiator behind my rather large speakers in the Lounge to keep it from getting damaged (It could not be seen). During the re-build it could not be found. Later when asked my Cleaner said she had seen this old bit of scrap metal left in the lounge & binned it (bless her). The Missus said serves you right don't leave stuff in the lounge. 10 years on the Cleaner still does my cleaning

Wheel bearings! Forver buying them and then waiting for the weather to be decent enough to change them and just forget I have already bought some and misplaced them in the messy workshop.
Selling an old CD player on ebay and was looking for the remote for it. Whilst tipping the workshop upside down I found a box with 3 sets of wheel bearings in it

I bought a car with full service history, came to sell the car and lost the book.
I moved house the year before hand and must have gone then. Lost a few quid on that one.
That or sunglasses, bought loads and bugger knows what happens to them.

I had a very expensive but old mountain bike in my garage. One day when cleaning the garage or working on the car I took the bike out and lent it on my fence.
2 weeks later I was in the garage and couldn't find the Bike lol. It was long gone.
I then bought a new one and did exactly the same thing about a month later having never even used the new bike lol.
I haven't replaced it since lol.
