eBay warning - Don't buy fake VXR injectors by mistake!
Just a quick warning about this item:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1917167973...341%26_rdc%3D1
I bought a set thinking someone had purchased loads of Vauxhall NOS and didn't even think that some monkey in China would have bothered to rip of VXR injectors. A popular upgrade for EFI RS Turbos.
Sadly they have (and have also done the same with Siemens Deka injectors).
Once installed one injector failed within 5mins, it failed WIDE OPEN so as soon as the fuel pump was running the injector was trying its bestest to fill a cylinder to the brim with petrol.
Luckily the car was running at the time, if I had left the ignition on for too long with the engine off the cylinder would have certainly hydraulically locked bending a rod (or worse). Instead it just filled the garage with unburnt petrol vapour (petrol vapour isn't explosive... is it? (joke)).
I have never bought from that seller before and usually just buy direct from Vauxhall on the rail so would recommend others do the same.
He is also refusing to refund the injectors because they have been installed.... what a plum.

Bloody hell nightmare mate. My sisters car nearly caught fire after I fitted a heater control valve to her fiesta, turned out she bought it
On eBay and it came from China. I think there should be a law against there junk being imported

Seller is a right twat as well which doesn't help. If he had just apologised refunded like a good seller it would have been so much simpler. But I genuinely think others are buying fake injectors and not even knowing about it.
And it looks like even when they do work the spray pattern is bollocks.

The GM sale of these Bosch genuine injectors only come with a fuel rail, pressure regulator in a GM box all genuine injectors have part numbers, Bosch logo and the plastic disc should be bright white.
Roughly Ł125-Ł140 for genuine.
The fake micky mouse versions no number, no logo and the white disc is dull in colour, usually packed individually.
If you google about fake injectors there is loads of information
Thought it was common knowledge as these GM/Bosch injectors are used in many aftermarket applications.
Report the seller to ebay for selling fake goods.

I mean, I can understand why they rip off Deka's and injector dynamics units but not bloody 470cc GM squirters.
Just wanted to make sure others who would be temped buy the real deal instead.

Sadly not, but paypal gives pretty good protection (I hope). I may or may not get the money back but really its my own fault, just wanted others didn't make a potentially very expensive mistake!
I would sooner buy used VXR injectors than fakes.

I agree, the guy selling them must have known they are shit Chinese fakes and deserves all the negative feedback the buyer can give him. It really pisses me off when sellers are trying to rip people off!

Ebay is full of fake shite these days.
If you want a quality product, go direct to the manufacturer avoid ebay.
Im about to buy some LED cycle lights but i know all the ones i will see on ebay will be fake so will rather buy from a reputable retailer and pay the extra for a proper product

It really is crazy the amount of fake shit they make over there, and how easy or cheap etc it must be for them to do !
Clearly they're very talented in that respect lol

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
It's starting to get pretty bad now, even as far as "OE Spec" parts - Some of the wheel bearings, CV joints etc that originate from China are fucking awful! It's even worse that some stores on eBay will list things as being Meyle/First Line/Blah blah and what you actually recieve is some questionable oriental shite!
I've also noticed a hell of a lot of stores operating out of Portsmouth/Southampton - What happens is a few manufacturers/wholesalers in China club together, send a few people over here and share a warehouse and container fees. Stuff literally comes in to port, to the warehouse then gets listed and sent out like wildfire.
