But don't understand me wrongly (I sometimes get missunderstood :-( - probablylanguage problem ) I just think of it as funny. No offence at all to anybody.
Anyway if somebody could measure all parts in question it would be grear. Apart form actuator rod it would be nice to get measurement of tyhe distance between WG lever and actuator bracket. Maybe that is wrong on mine for some reason.

LOl.. i know what you mean, and i dont know the answer myself although i reckon il be within 15mm at 145mm.
Once we ascertain that teh rod you have is definately correct, we then know for a fact that it is the distance between mounting face and wastegate thats at fault, hence me holding out for the turnbuckle length.

I will modify the rod probably anyway as sending another one from the UK would take too much time :-( But it it's wrong it may be nice to get one for the future But there were about 3 or 4 peaople who said it would be 130mm :-/ I checked all Cossies here and they all seam to be using Saphire actuators with short rods.

By the way Stu - what is maximum usable preload? I mean - if I mount it and pull really hard I'm very close to putting it on. Maybe -31 just needs lots and lots of force? (but I really kind of can't belive in rod holding when screw in one turn only)

3mm. OK will remember Will be usefull for mods.
So you think that if it adjust it for exactly 3mm preload it won't need adjustment of boost?

Dave - Cheers mate, just what I needed is that 120mm measurement from a standard big turbo or little turbo escos?

on a big turbo - as per pic
there may be slight variations in length, but as you are pre loading it once its screwed together and yuo say shorted the length by half a hole, the exact measurements dont really matter.

that will fit a fectory escos rod, yours looks like it has been swaped at some time for a what looks like a 4x4saphhire actuator, (which uses a different rod as the threaded bit of the actuator is longer.

Arrgrgrrrrrrrr Dave. I already bought long rod from Cossymad. It's 130mm and was supposed to be original Escort Cossie rod. It's still too short.

your turbo might be a different turbo altogether then, it is strange that the longer rod is still too short...? a good excuse to go 'big tubo' i suppose,,,,

It does look that way, the actuator bracket is different and the exhaust housing looks different too. What are the numbers on it - i'm sure stu can identify it for you

It's small turbo Escos!
The exhaust housing was swaped for new one by Garett dealership but they said they identified whole turbo in their catalogue and used right spare part. Maybe it was modified during all this years by garett. For sure it isn't dropping so much on boost at high revs as it used to be.
