1) Depends on what your doing with the car. Track daying it and i maybe too noisy, or the fuzz might not be too happy with the noise and then you'll be done for noise pollution.

What power are you running? as it may mess all you pressures up resulting in a power loss.

2) Cut it as close to the welds on the center box as possible.
3) ????Wheres best to have it done do you mean? Not sure in the portsmouth area.

Don't remove the centre box!!!! on a 2wd manifold the noise inside the car is not too bad, with a 4x4 manifold it's deafening!!! I have removed the rear box on my esc cos and it sounds awesome! and hardly any difference inside the car It cost me £45 to have it chopped out and replaced with stainless, i had it done by a company in basildon called Pipecraft!!! as the rear box can't be seen from the rear of an escort it's ideal as on a saff, it'd look shite without the rear box and just a pipe!!

Think it was around 3", the same as a saff!!
Sounds lovely with it removed but not too loud to be offensive outside the car either!!

That will fit, but you'd need a longer pipe still to join the rest of the system
