Hi all im in the middle of converting my granada from a auto to a manual.
I've got both gearboxs needed and converted already, flywheel clutch etc.. Only problem i can see is the propshaft seems to be too short is there a certain prop i need as the gearbox is alot shorter then the original gearbox.
I have 2 propshaft 1 from a sierra and a 2 litre granada well 3 if u include the original prop.

Sorry if this is stupid but im baffled so thought i would ask.

Its the bellhousing from a v6 4x4 with parts from the 2 litre granada dohc gearbox

You must use the prop from the 2.0 DOHC Granada. The rear end of the Sierra DOHC prop is the same as the Granada DOHC prop. It's the front end that is longer on the Granada than the Sierra.

I have 2 props 1 front end is longer then the other one... Its the same size as the one that came off but as the gear box is that much shorter then the auto...

I even went out and got the 2 gearboxes again the v6 4x4 gearbox looks the right length but thats only with the transfer box still attached once thats taken off its to short....

Im gonna have a look to see if i can find the dohc prop as im not to sure if mine is actually the right one then....

Just a quick question is the prop from a 2 dohc longer the the original prop for the auto gearbox on the granada if so it will make sense then

Yes the dohc prop is longer.
