Default Understanding slick tyre sizes
I've been toying with the idea of slicks but have no idea where to look for them and more importantly how to work out the sizes.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

So a 215/40/17 would be 215/605/17?

Think I've done that right?

The nearest to that I've seen is:
215/615r17 Kumho S700 slick.

Where do people buy slicks? Is there anywhere that does good used sets?

Protyre (did the race meet tyre support for Michelin) near Stoke used to sell used Michelin slicks from various race series.
