Would love to go but went to good wood last week which I think is probably better due to the mix of everything there.
Hope Hamilton wins but I'm thinking his head is not fully into it at the moment he didn't bother testing this week even he seems to be partying all the time! Fingers crossed! Button I'm sure still has a good fight in him but the car is rubbish, he deserves a better car. Good luck to both!

Pissed me off at the start.
Bernie the little blood sucker couldn't even be arsed to get his guests to line up and chatted at the start of the national anthem. I found that a bit offensive.
But definitely the best race of the season so far!
Didn't realise that a married couple were bosses of two different teams!

Ah right. Just googled.
The way the interview went wit Toto and then showed a clip of "his wife" when Williams got the great start she looked like that lass who is the team boss. And that's how I read it with the whole"conflict of interest" stuff as well.
A really good race though.
Anyone see the doc before about Niki Lauda (sp?) and James Hunt? I thought the film Rush was typical Hollywood exaggerated screen writing but that doc showed that battle between them in exactly the same way. Just with interviews.
"Niki, your the only
Person I know that's been on fire and come out the other side better looking" lol.

We had a great spot at Farm curve / Village corner. Saw Crashtornado take out Grosjean and Alonso wipe Button out as well and Verstappen get it all wrong right in front.
The noise and atmosphere with the crowd made it for us - amazing day out with the best finish with Hamilton winning after a great race.
And that Typhoon.. Mental.

Was an awesome day. My boss lives in Silverstone village so parking was easy and free and only 45 mins from home
There's lots to do and see - 3 support races before the F1 race today, VR rides, exhibitions on historic F1, driver Q&A, concert afterwards, various qualifications and races all weekend to etc, etc.
For Ł99 a ticket it's certainly much better value than the up to Ł400 a ticket for some grandstands although still not cheap. We did a Motorsport Vision race day at Silverstone 2 weeks ago to "case the joint" to see where we wanted to stand and that was Ł8 each for great racing too.
It did make Ford Fair look like a really quiet event though in comparison!

Only race weekend I've ever done must of been 1997 at Thruxton for the BTCC (the weekend Nige Mansel hit the wall at the last chicane and done his neck in the Mondeo I think) and had such a great time. Was always something to go see or what ever and get goody bags from sponsor displays and get to walk about the pits.
I'd love to do silverstone!
Went to ford fair few years ago and barely got around it in the day. Probably missed a third of it with just walking by most stuff rather than enjoying what I'm going past.
You do Friday to today then?

Nah, only did today.
If you've not experienced Silverstone much (think this was our 5th or 6th time this year as we're only 45 mins away) then it's certainly worth going for the full weekend to get to see the track from various places - the different viewing areas all have their merits.

The mistake I made was trying to walk around and see everything and then to go back after to actually look and enjoy it.
I really do hope they get rid of Eddie Jordan though. I find him very patronising and self righteous.
Susie Perry is very nice to look at and knows her stuff and square head coulthard i find is very easy to watch and has a great view/opinion on events. Especially when Eddie "lays down the law" he says it how it is from a drivers point of view.
