Default Cossie bug.

What's it all about. I sold my 3 door a few months back (no regrets) but still seem to keep looking at them and I do actually feel I would buy something if it was right.

Default Cossie bug.

I got it bad. I've had mine 8 years and it's the longest I've ever owned a car, normally cars stay for 3 months max! I haven't got much money to spend on it but I know it's there in the garage

I lost the love for the 3 door because of values I wanted it to be 100% and that started to do my head in. I have a q plate escort cossie rolling shell that I still think of building as all along even when I bought the 3 door I wanted a cossie that I could abuse on track days etc.

Cant beat a good old cossie.

Ive had mine over 9 years now and its not going anywhere. Even the wife has said she wouldnt want me to sell it. She even said its part of the family now.

Theres no point in having a minty mint cossie cause you get to the point where you darent use them.

Must admit im over the Cossie thing. I wont be buying another that's for sure. I was into speed but nobody else is these days so there was no challenge nothing to go for once Martin got over Cosworths.
When I first came on this site there were two things that were mega cool Mike Rainbirds hair & Topspeed running. Shall we say they both no longer exist .

Even so rod yours still gets more looks than a fit bird lol and sounds like a fooking jet taking off coming on boost going up the ring road even from the other side of Basingstoke! And the old girl didnt do to bad when it was on the road as you never met anything that could even nearly live with it on the road! So it still did what it needed to do even being 20+ years out of date so don't knock it too hard

We are talking about getting over the Cossie bug Andy not knocking what one can achieve. I have only ever seen a Cossie as a means of going very fast not the- it must be standard, never been driven & everybody looks at it so it must be fast
brigade that are the present generation. Elsewhere Topspeed running is incredibly popular 100's doing it yet a Marque that likes to think its cars are fast are shit scared cowardy custards & that's being polite.

I just like the way some people describe some modern cars as "Cossie killers" but yet they forget cossies are from the 80s lol

My thoughts exactly. It's the adrenaline for me as they are old school and feel like there gonna kill you when you bury the throttle.

Lol this is so true. Took mine to Rsoc meet the other night and when it came on full boost it didn't feel overly safe after driving modern cars about lol, I'm thinking what's gonna fall off at 130mph down the bypass :-(
