i know dta would be an easier opion

but surely that the cossie management would be a cheaper and better advantage

as dta is a grnd then going to get it mapped

cossie stuff is a couple of hundred quid then fitting and mapped so saving a good bit surely

It can be done!

Weber is just as easy as any other management!

In fact im sure it would work very well, even if the car is non Turbo.

Emerald is plug and play with the standard MEMS loom plug if I remember right and comes with FREE software to home map, not to mention the dirt cheap price for a proper mapping session on Dave Walker's rolling road

Emerald is cheaper to buy and is around Ł200 + Vat to Map on a super accurate 4 wheel drive rolling road.
You also get to meet Dave Walker at the same time, I got my 2.3 RS2000 mapped by Dave at Emerald and had a great day talking cars and bollox with him, not to mention the drive home

same result effectivly on the same engine

Dave looks after mine too, last time it went down it went in at 1pm and came out at 9-30pm, had a software upgrade to the latest version and cost worked out below Ł24 per hour.

Ł850 (roughly) will buy you the box and a mapping session. If you can fit it yourself then thats about it.

Of course yes unless its a Rover (plug and play) so then add on (roughly) a further Ł200 for a loom of some sort.

Me and Sean Bicknell (Zoo Motorsport) both rate them for what they do

Well Im running a coil pack so I guess so

Fits in quite easily actually, and its running a close ratio straight cut Quaife Escort S1 box. When it was at Jamsport I had my 950 Popular Fiesta 4 speed box in

Made a 10mm spacer plate to bolt the engine to the box and Martin from MEFmotorsport spent a week on the lathe making me a special offset flywheel to run the ford splined AP paddle clutch between the two

Engine has been spot on mate..... Built in 2002 mapped in 2003 and has so far only blown 1 head gasket (faulty seal) and cracked a liner due to increased power. Other problems have been my own fault... bent 8 inlet valves last October (when service crew had it) and thats about it really

Sat here on Dave Walkers rolling road

Spooky lying on your belly about 2 foot from your car when its doing 100mph and pulling about 8000rpm
