the car has been reported stolen as it wasnt hers to sell its in my name belonging to me,
all reported to the police
as far as i know its been sold locally,
its not running so wont be on the road

exactly. however the police probably wont want to get involved as im sure she will come up with some bollocks of an excuse and V5 is not proof of ownership, so it will be chalked up to as a "civil matter" as its in his name but an asset of the marriage in law.

Completely different matter if just partners as unless married or civil partnership, she would have no right to anything and hence no right to sell anything unless you gave power of attourney.

Used to see it in the forces a lot, come home from patrol/deployment and find someones partner has fucked off and taken and sold EVERYTHING including his cars, hobbys, clothes the lot. Predictably the bitch will have cleared out the bank and savings and rung up shit loads of debt too.

Often the guy is totally fucked as he gave her power of attorney when away (as the RN advises you do).

I dont think any of them ever got anything back.

Quite a few got arrested for either criminal damage or breach of the peace trying to forceably reenter thier own home or married quarter.

I really hate the double standards. If a bloke does wrong, its "ok" to burn his stuff, cut his clothes up, axe attack his car etc and NOTHING ever happens to the woman.

If a bloke does the same he gets arrested and all sorts of restraining orders etc.
