Talking good friendly insurance companies? not admiral, aviva etc...

my vr6 is off for restoration, so im potentially buying a golf mk3 tdi as a runaround, im 30 and all insurance quotes seems to be coming in at £500- 700 with the normal companies, on a mk3 90bhp diesel golf? ive not rang around for years but this seems high on a cheap motor? are there any ones you guys use that are decently priced? regards

basically im on a classis 20+years old policy, if i can find a gti or vr6 that same age, its a straight swap, remove my vr6 for a few months and replace it with another gti or vr6 equivalent for a fee of £26.50, but its trying to find one down my way for a good price! the diesel they wont swap as its not a classic and never will be! so its a new policy!

Is it a good idea to leave your vr6 uninsured while your presumably spending a fair amount of cash on its restoration?

Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.
