Does anyone know anything about 3.0 tdi's?
I have a 2007 Audi Q7 that has spun a shell and destroyed the crank and rod.
The engine fitted is a BUG engine code, i am having trouble finding a 2nd hand lump!
Does anyone know if an engine from a different 3.0 tdi model with different code will be the same (A6, A8, Q7 ect)??
Or what differences they do have if i found a different code engine?
But if it comes to it i may have to rebuild it if i can find a crank!

Vags are a bit of a mine field with engine numbers there are so many variations of them with engine blocks and cylinder head no.
I had an a4 with what was meant to be the better engine block number and best cylinder head no.
The car developed a small oil leak and upon inspection the engine block had a crack in it.
I really don't rate vag stuff much after reading up on all the problems you can have with them and for that reason I will never buy another one again.
