All very new to this.. so i was just wondering.. in a rolling road test.. it measures the engines performance... but how much does this cost?? and does the tuning part come into the price aswell or do ya have to pay extra?

can somebody give me a price list of what a Rolling Road can do??

A Rolling Road Power Run normally costs around £25-40. This involves putting your car on the Rolling Road to simply establish its BHP and Torque, which you should receive as a printed Graph. No adjustments will normally be made with this.

A Rolling Road Tune is around £80-100. This would cover a 'reasonable' amount of time (around an hour) to check/tune your car. Some of this will take place off the rollers, some on the rollers. It should, all being well, end in a Power Run and Graph included in the cost. Most tuners will have a standard RR Tune price, but a supplementary Labour rate, should the tune become more involved.

Incidentally, a Rolling Road isnt necessary to successfully tune a low/mid powered RST. We offer a Full Tune for £80. This involves Visual Check of the Engine, Static Timing check/adjust, Fuel Pump Analysis (using Sun Modis), Static Mixture check/adjust, then the Wide-Band Lambda Reader and Pro Boost Gauge is connected for a Boost/Fuelling check on the road.

LOL. We are just outside Norwich. See the 'Escort RS Turbo' section on here where you should find one-or-two threads by people who have been to us recently.

Remember (although I hate to state the obvious) that the type of tune we do cannot provide power figures. The other thing I would suggest is that if your Fuel Pump is still original, replace it. With the advance equipment we use, we can view a very precise graph of how the pump is working and this has been uncovering alot of knackered Fuel Pumps recently, that may otherwise go undetected and may ultimately lead to the death of the engine.
