Default seeing your old cars

Have you ever seen one of your old cars driving about and been annoyed that someone's modded it badly?

At least it wasn't covered in Bring Back Clarkson stickers!?

Only seen one of my cars, but hadn't changed since I sold it to my mate...

I sold my sportka earlier this year to a little (70's) old man 10mins up the road. I see it nearly every day and it still has the 'passionford' sticker in the back window 😌

Yes. My black series2 was mint, original and running 200bhp when I sold it... Saw it a couple of months later at a show, the new owner had treated it to a set of 18" wolfrace wheels, 6x9s cut into the original parcel shelf, red ford badges and he was smoking in it

I was pissed to say the least.

Being a older member I see a lot of my old cars at shows and tend to walk straight past them as I fear for the halfords bug biting the current owners

Sold an old car of mine to a mate, it had a slight leak on the radiator which he never bothered to sort. He topped it up and forgot to put the rad cap on, it boiled over and overheated. He left it to cool down, filled it back up and drove it home to get the cap, needless to say he ragged the absolute bollocks out of it all the way and cooked it. It never ran again. So he basically destroyed it right in front of me the coont.

My father in law sold his beloved mint mk1 Escort to a girl round the corner from his work, two days later, she pulled out a side turning, in front of a truck, apparently, the passenger side door was pushed halfway accross the drivers seat...

Yeh, amazingly, got out with just a few cut and bruises, but ok!?

The Father in law was almost in tears seeing the car, he heard the crash from work and came out to see what happened and saw the wreck...

Had a sierra 1.8lx, absolutely loved the car, went everywhere in it, met my wife while I owned it. Sold it on, my missus was following it down the m27 one morning and the damn thing blew up right in front of her!

Sold a mint e36 318d touring last year, didn't wanna sell but we got given a mondeo pretty much and needed the money so flogged it. Saw it last month in a queue of traffic, the guy has sanded the bonnet down to bare metal and rusty and covered the entire car in stickers. Proper bell end

Caddy 20v Turbo with Electric opening cover, lowered on coilovers and axle flip with big disc conversion all round and full respray.

I bought a nearly dead Caddy pick up, 1 owner from new, he could not believe it when I turned it in to this...he liked it though:

My old 24v 4i was pointed out to me at Ford Fair one year. I was gutted when I had a look at it, but it's not my car so why should I worry what it looks like.

After I've sold a car or a bike (and I've sold lots!) I couldn't care less what happens to it...for all I care you can set fire to it whilst I watch, wouldn't bother me.

Sold an RG400 years and years ago, warned the bloke about the vicious powerdelivery so told him NOT to ride it under the powerband with the throttle wide open...guess what...one week later he did and as soon as it cleared it's throat it spat him off...and I laughed!

The only regrets I have is that I sold stuff that wasn't 'special' back in the day wich is worth a fortune today!!!
