Default h&r or eibach

im sick of been told I should lower my car so I think its my next job, but I don't want to spoil my ride comfort to much so im wondering your opinions on h&r or eibach?

I've got h&r springs on my mondeo and the ride is as good as standard.

I have eibach on my focus and they are spot on and whats more they are ford approved

Any lowering spring will increase the firmness of the ride, you are effectively creating less suspension travel so a lowering spring with the same level of comfort would probably bottom out on the first big bump.


I have always used eibach springs and never had an issue.

I have got Koni front shocks with Eibach lowering springs on the front and Bilstein rear shocks with Eibach lowering springs on the rear of my 2wd Sapphire Cosworth (35mm lower than standard ) plus front and rear custom made strut braces with poly bushes everywhere. The car holds the road really well with no bodyroll etc but the downside for some people is a very stiff car in which you do feel the bumps and have to try and avoid potholes etc. It is a trade off , vastly improved road holding but a lot less comfortable ride, you have to decide what suits you best.
