Never been before and keep getting nagged to take my pajero! My sisters other half is well into it with his rr Classic on a 3 inch suspension lift with 2 inch body lift. A few of his mates are really into it as well. So I went along mine has bf goodridge off road tyres and a 1 inch suspension lift. Wicked fun loved it and the cheap old work horse pajero took everything I chucked at it with ease.

When I lived in South Australia I worked for Telecom Australia as a telephone engineer. I was based in a small country town where there was no proper roads once you got a couple of miles out, just dirt tracks, rivers and steep hills. My Telecom vehicle was a Toyota Land Cruiser with big knobbly off road tyres and in the Winter there the tracks were really muddy and it never got stuck. There was a quite big river with loads of boulders in it which had to be crossed and the water was pretty deep but it coped with everything . It was great fun and I was getting paid for it! Toyota have got it right with the Land Cruiser !

Looks a laugh! My dad used to take his LandRover off road when I was younger, never done it since. Must be good to get a car caked in shit and not have to worry about it, unlike our road cars, that we spend hours trying to keep clean!
Jamie956; that looks like it means business!? Looks good.

We use to go down to a place called Bures pit it was really good as the marshals just let you get on with it unless you where acting like complete bell end anything went some of the other places where abit to formalfor me set tracks and cones take the fun out of it. Its a good hobby to take you through the winter if 2 or 3 of you go in on a 4x4 its cheap as well probably wouldn't take it up if you don't like getting your car muddy, Loads of vids on youtube.

It's an eye opener what these trucks can do with good tyres like my pajero it cost 700 quid and it's an auto. It has 2wd 4wd and centre diff locked high and low. Did every thing the range rovers did and we went down some really tough lanes lol and very steep hills.
As the day got worse I struggled a little in the deep ruts dew to not have as bigger ground clearance as the others had massive off road tyres. But it was a really good day

i've got a mate with a cut down v8 rr similar to the one above who i've been with a few times and really enjoyed it. there's less and less places to do it these days though as a lot of the byways have been downgraded to bridleways by moaning bastard horse riders and ramblers
