Ive just bought a mk3 xr2i 16v
I want to do a 2.0 zetec turbo conversion
As it still has the 1.8 zetec fitted, i thought it would be a decent head start to fit the 2.0 zetec.
I was going to aim for a reliable 300bhp, as i dont want to go down the focus rs gearbox route again as im on a budget. Il just use an escort box with an rst lsd. (And keep a few spare ones)
Apart from a 2.0 engine, forged rods and pistons, what other parts should i look out for? On my last one i had a rover turbo inlet manifold and omex 600 ecu, apart from devil developments valve springs, rods and pistons and arp bolts, the engine was standard.
Any advise or suggestions on exhaust manifold, turbo, and anything else i should go for?
The car is already stripped, caged, coilovers, big brakes ect for a track car, just need to up the power a bit now!
Cheers, Tom

Manifold and turbo i would keep it simple with a standard frs manifold and turbo.they fit spot on in the mk2 bay and the decat pipe fits spot on with a blacktop sump setup with no chopping to the crossmember like on some mk2 turbo conversions and the turbo is nice and lag free so will make it a quick car.i would go rs1800 inlet (ho) and either get injectors to suit or convert it to top feed ones.
