Default ST-3 Starting Problem

Sorry folks, 1st post & unsure what forum would be best. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direct as I'm stumped.

I have an intermittent starting issue with an 08, ST-3, that's now become more frequent.

Unlock the car, hit the push button start, depress clutch while in neutral and car won't crank. Battery is split new and I've got full electrics.

Solution is to disconnect the battery for 1 minute then car fires right up!!

Today was the first time this process took two attempts. After i disconnected/reconnected the battery i locked car & then unlocked to start from scratch. I could here my clifford alarm "chirps" and car would't crank.

Tried again, Battery disconnected, locked/unlocked car. This time no clifford chirps and she fires right up.

Ok maybe the alarm is a red herring but i'm completely stumped.

Can anyone offer me advice on this please? i haven't a clue how to troubleshoot this, i'm actually glad it's more frequent now as its easier to recreate.

Thanks a lot

Almost certain the Clifford alarm will be causing this fault, they are known to be absolute shite, not even worth the cost of the box they come in.

Get it properly removed and go from there.
