Default mk3 mondeo tdci problem

Hi everyone been a while since i last been on here

Ive got a question my mondeo is having a issue with hot starting

Any advice on what it could be?

This is my first diesel

Have you had it checked for fault codes?

Its a stab in the dark without more details, is the engine ok once running, when it won't start does the engine crank at a healthy speed?

Servicing uptodate?

once i got the car started it has no problems.

i'll send it back to the garage i bought it from and get them to have a look at it.

servicing is all up to date last serviced at 74000 and its now on 75500

still have a couple of months left on the warranty so they can fix it

little update took the car back to the garage to get it fixed and they have had to sub contract it out to a deisel specialist as they cant fix itso hopefully i should find out soon whats knackered on it

There is an ecu update for them which cures the hot starting problem. Would need a Ford dealer or someone with there software though.

i had a phone call from the garage who i bought the car from and the specialist has had to put 4 new injectors in my car all done on warrenty

I was just about to say a lad from work had a mk3 mondy with the same fault and he had to get new injectors.
