Default Rev counter

Hi there guys right all most finished my 3 door now as I didn't get it ready for ford fair for my stand its got to get finished soon. Just a few things to sort out and could do with some thoughts. Iv used a doner car but can not for the love of me get the rev counter to work. I know there it bits on hear about revcounters but any views are welcome.

rev counters are fairly simple.

12v, ground and a coil trigger. Do you have all 3 wired to the cluster/rev counter itself ?
