There's no chance you could do it by Dremel lol, knife edging and polishing can be done by Dremel but it's still a risk. I did it on my own YZ125 before giving it to a mate to be done right.

When it comes down to porting theres all sorts of calculations do be down.

does the figure of £500-700 ish include general stuff like new guides and springs or is it all just machine work on ports etc?

To be honest 500-700 would only cover the porting I imagine...

I know the sorts of things Karls charges and roughly what goes into what.

At the end of the day you pay that sort of money dont expect a lot if it comes with new guides and springs and stuff.

Aint cossie valves somet like 16 quid each.. ?

The cheapest and best are not two words normally associated together , personally, I would only take it to one person for Cossies, and that is Nick Waples (Ex F1 / WRC fame). Not as cheap as £500, but results speak for themselves.

Ranj,
I'm that well connected, that I actually know what he looks like .

However, Nick lives out in Spain now, so all head work goes through Harvey (01733 576 614) and has to be shipped out there for him to do.

That's why I gave you the contact number . Don't expect it to be cheap though...

You can't . Nick is a very private person and won't deal with the general public, so you have to go through Harvey or get second best (i.e. someone else to do it ).

You meen harvey wants his cut mike i am in the engine business so know the score, i would rather deal, speak to the person who is going to do the work their self. Who is second best then ? please don't say Karl as he apparently got a queue/ waiting list. Or have i got to have a go myself

Ranj,
Don't be thick, the whole reason that Paul didn't want to go through Harvey, was because he wanted to avoid a middle man, but now you're suggesting the same thing (going through a middle man), but both the middle man and the headman are different .

Is slightly noisier than Quaife, but not so it annoys. You can only really hear it at slow speeds, once in the higher gears the drone of the Mongoose drowns it out .

I have a good memory, you posted it once on another thread .
