Best Way To Remove BodyKit
So, having to break my Orion Ghia as it's rotten and I am having a heck of a time with taking the Orion RS Bodykit off.
I have managed to get the bumpers off ok but I am really struggling with the sideskirts, There is 4 screw holes in them which attach it to the bodywork. I have removed these, but the person who fitted them has also used silicone and some sort of bonding sealant.
i have managed to get the first 30cm or so detached from the car but struggling to get anymore off and I don't want to damage the kit.
Is there an easy way / or any tips on how to get this thing off? We can break through the top silicone seal and get a bit of wire down there but its not strong enough to cut through the bonding agent.
Thanks Guys

long Stanley blades the snap off type and plenty of lube or washing up liquid
a really sharp fillet knife might do it , but its gotta be razor sharp
, just stroke along with a bit of pressure
the 4 screws you removed went through the kit, theres probably an expanding raw-plug type fixing on the backs of the rubber sills , so cut upto these ,and around them,
or through them , they are much tougher than silicone
you could use an oscillating tool but the helper has got to be sensible
and not just a bod with no skills or patience, they can`t even make decent cuppa Tea !

Haha Lee I can imagine the look i would get when the knife id blunt, bent and has silicone on it lol, mk2grp1. I will give that a go, I noticed the rawl plugs and I think that is what is stopping the bodykit peeling back any further as its resisiting at that part to the point I kept checking if there was actually still a screw in it!.
What does the lube / washing liquid do? does it make it easier to move the knife or does it break doen the silicone? Reason I ask is that there is literally enough room for a thin knife blade so not sure how I would get the liquid down there

I creates a slip effect when the blade is dry, and its gonna be dry,
dilute abit, and dispence out of a trigger type bottle,
wd40 would be expensive but would do it
snap off stanleys are about 6inch long, a new blade will soon go blunt,
I wasn`t saying the raw plug thingy was holding it
just making you aware of what you cannot see , when you hit something hard
craft knife type thing, that's a Stanley only longer,
