Default Family car suggestions

Evening all,

For about the last month I have been looking at Range Rover Vogue's. I have a budget of £12k.

I'm going to look at one on Saturday after seeing a tatty one today and 2 weeks ago looked at another that was advertised as immaculate, but literally after 3 mins of looking around the car I decided to walk away. also the one on Saturday has no power to the sat nav/stereo. After reading about it online, it seems an expensive fix

Anyway, I am kind of set on a RR around an 03-05 age. But the more I look into them, the more I start to realise that my £12k may not be enough to actually buy a nice condition car, as the ones I've seen have seemed to be uncared for.

I've just started looking at BMW 530d's too but I know nothing about BMW's

Could I have some help on alternatives?

Ideally I'd like luxury, toys, gadgets, leather, big boot and room inside the cabin.

Hope you can help me and my new family, my Boy Bobby was born in March

Cheers Billy

you want luxury, try a 730d, big barge, drives like it's on air and has what you need.
better still, s-class merc, it will have what tomorrows cars will have in years to come, you can get a good one for your budget.

Wouldn't even bother looking at a Range Rover. Never met anybody yet who's had one and says it's been reliable. Even my Mrs sisters pissed it's oil all over the drive at just 6 months old.

Bmw X5, IMHO, would make a far more sensible option.
