Default -31& -34 actuators??

Hi now I know the -34 has a stronger spring to cope with higher boost pressure but at want point would you change from 31 to 34. I've got a -34 on mine escort now and was wondering if it would be better to run -31? My car needs setting up again anyway and I also have a -31. Last time it was mapped it was at 25psi but now done so changes would have thought it will be going up. Will it be ok or should I change it.

Thanks
Lee Bram

Why tho isn't it to hold boost pressure? Say if it gets mapped to 2bar would that be reason to leave it?

You would normally set your actuator pre-load to half your target boost, so if you want 2 bar you would need a -34 for example a -31 may creep open.

Ok so would be best to leave the -34 on then. but say I didn't set the boost that high would it then be better to change down to -31 or would there be no different?
