It helps... But it's not the same as having them stripped and cleaned. Best thing about getting them done professionally is you'll get a print out showing flow before and after, and they'll visually inspect the spray pattern.

Forte treatments are the best. When I wanted to join the good garage scheme for my garage I had to do loadsa tests with a car so they could prove the treatments worked. I was blown away by the results, I used to think it was all bollocks lol

I used clean burn on my vectra GSI after an MOT fail and it seemed to work really well. Brought my emissions right down too!

Are you on about something like this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Forte-Petr...item2eca5c54ff

And does 1 bottle 400ml sort it out then?

I had an old escort cabriolet mk4 in for a service, the guy got me to do a compression test and an oil pressure test before adding the treatments. I put a can of forte fuel additive in and a can of forte oil flush in. The compression test readings were all over the place like 130,140,120,145 and after using the car overnight to get home and back I did the compression check again And they were all nearly equal and much higher! The oil one could have just been the oil change that made it better though lol. We checked the spark plugs before and after the treatment and they were a lot cleaner too, I was stunned as always thought the treatments were complete ballshit. The gearbox treatment worked wonders in an old 106 diesel I had with a noisy box and managed to sell it lol

The one they used was redex but they was trying to get the car back to the original BHP it left the factory with. I have been reccomended Forte and cataclean before as both being decent.

Just buy a set of new or recon injectors or something then. No downtime.

The forte stuff is superb! Thought I was going to have to have the head rebuilt on my focus cause it was using oil due to worn valve stems.
Two treatments of Forte seal conditioner over two oil changes and it never used a drop again!
