no they wouldnt mate 
and i picked up some other rare parts whilst i was with the chap as he used to rally a wrc escort cosworth including
2 909 groupa tarmac hubs
2 alloy rear shock to hub mounts
1 wrc intercooler
2 wrc rads
1 909 front cradle for bladed antirollbar
so it was worth the 320 mile and 50 euro of diesel and 8 hrs lol
