That would depend on what hose sizes you intend to use, and the type of breather valve.

Depends on the pump, filter, how much flow needed etc.

I can see few reasons to use a fitting smaller than -10 on a tank outlet. It may be larger than many need, but it ensures there will always be enough.
If you want to use a smaller hose, you can step down. But it means the tank is fairly well future proof.

-6 fitting for any return line again would be more than adequate for even the biggest builds.

Tank breather, just let the tank fabricator sort this

As Steve said, -6 minimum for feeds and returns, that seems to be the standard. I would get a roll over valve -6 breather installed personally. Fabricator will know what to fit. Future proofing it with a -10 feed isn't a bad idea either, but apparently -6 will supply fuel upto 600bhp so depends how big you want to go.

There is a big difference as to what any fitting can flow when drawing through and pushing through at high pressure.

Isnt a hope in hell I'd be forcing an efi pump to suck through a -6 fitting.

Is that still the case with a swirl pot?

I know mines a -8 feed to high pressure pump, from the swirl pot but feed to and from swirl are -6. I thought this was the norm?

There is no normal. Every application will have different needs.

And whether fuel is being pumped or sucked makes a difference.

AH Fabrications in Hereford, Brian. They've made everything on my car, swirl pot, oil breather and catch tank, radiator, intercooler etc. It's very good kit TBF. I have my old AH fuel cell for sale depending on what you need. It's in the sale section.
