A sleeper does what you dont expect but it can only do it once cos then they know.
Theres a sleeper in the picture below. Not noticed, bit of sniggering , seen as a joke amongst the Supercars, not featured in the Video. The Red 700bhp AMG wanted to know why it was there after all it only had 4 cylinders & capable of 150mph. Then the racing started

A Cossie is not a sleeper. 
Sleeper cars are termed such because their exterior looks little or no different from a standard or economy-class car. In some cases the car appears worse due to seeming neglect on the owner's part

A sleeper has to be a shopping version of a car in my eyes, eg. the Mk2 golf and old Volvo highlighted in this thread, also there's a gay looking fwd Starlet in Oz with 400bhp plus nitrous, awesome!
